Why should we integrate technology into lessons?

We should integrate technology into lessons because it's an essential tool for learning in today's world. It does not matter what grade level students are at, technology is a means to help teachers connect material with the information that students are learning. Students may have an easier time using technology versus traditional teaching methods. Technology is a tool that can teach students when teachers are unable to help a student or connect the information. Teachers may not have all the resources in their classroom to help every range of student, from gifted to struggling students. It's almost as if technology an "assistant" for a teacher. It's here to stay, and if all teachers and schools can embrace technology, students may feel less intimidated by it and feel more comfortable to use it. Of course cost is always an issue and must be taken into consideration. But if students have access in school, it helps open a door that might not be used at home. What is the purpose of integrating technology into learning? Well, that mostly goes hand in hand with the first question. The purpose is that technology is a means to make life easier, more interesting, challenge intellect, answer questions, the list continues. More technology opens windows for all users, and gives us inormation almost immediately. When it comes to learning, technology provides almost too much information, but helps teachers gain knowledge and skills that may not be available to them otherwise.
